Agave Barbecue Baste

Serves: 5

   1 tablespoon vegetable oil
   1/4 cup minced onions
   1 clove garlic, minced
   1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
   1/3 cup agave
   3 tablespoons vinegar
   2 tablespoons dry sherry
   1 teaspoon dry mustard
   1/2 teaspoon salt
   1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

Agave Barbecue Baste is from the Cook'n with Agave collection.

Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat until hot. Add onion and garlic; cook and stir until onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes. Serve over grilled chicken, pork, spareribs, salmon or hamburgers.
